Link Wheels and Tiger Tattoos
Link Wheels and Tiger Tattoos? Well, Year of the Tiger Tattoos actually!
Over the last couple of weeks I have finally knuckled down and done something I should have done ages ago. I have posted an article on Squidlog about how I got so “down” about my online activities in recent months, that I came close to deleting my Squidoo account but how I have since regained my normal AJ optimism due to an experiment I have been inolved in.
You see I had an offer from Drifter that I could not turn down. It meant I had to really let go of some of the stuff in my head that was holding me back and I had to focus very hard on one specific project.
In the Squidlog article – Are we looking to learn from too many people about Squidoo and online marketing? – I talk about something that I think was not only a problem for me, but also for many people on Squidoo. So over the last few weeks and months I have been looking at the sites I participate in and trying to reduce my networking and learning and increase my outputs.
So what exactly was the offer that Alex (Drifter) made me? During an exchange of views he offered to give me one to one teaching about Link Wheels. As a kinesthetic learner, I learn best by doing!
I had to set up a micro-niche blog from scratch and then establish it at the hub of a Link Wheel. The “rim” of the wheel would be articles, blogs and lenses pointing into the wheel and connected in such a way that the “flow” on the rim would go in one direction.
And that is how I ended up with a Blog about Year of the Tiger Tattoos!
As I have worked I have blogged everyday on Always Juggling at Crabbys Beach in a category I have set up called Blogging for Profit and it has been great to see the discussion my project has provoked.
Not only have I blogged about it, but Alex and I will be discussing what we have been doing next Tuesday, 02 March on Giant Squid Open Mike with Kate and Joan. The shows starts at 5pm EST and lasts for 30 minutes. We will also be taking questions via the Chat Room – you have to register and log in to get access and the Chat Room opens just before the show goes on air. And if the time is not good for you, you can always catch up with the archive recording later in the week.
Hope to see you there!

Hi AJ. I’m curious! Don’t know if I can make the chat due to time differences but I will try to remember. And if you ever think of deleting your account again, please think of all the “little” people like me who look to you as a mentor. Thanks for all of your great work and inspiration.
Samantha – always learning

Shew, glad you didn’t delete all of those lenses. Remember, if even you were to stop, they are useful to people!!
The link wheel idea is a great illustration of how things need to work.
