Talking about Etiquette on Squidoo at SquidLog

Back in March I received an email from someone who is probably my main mentor on Squidoo as well as being a dear friend. Chef Keem asked me if I would become an Author on SquidLog. And so saw the start of a great new dimension to our relationship.

It took awhile for me to get into the swing of things and recently The Chef and I came up with the idea of me writing on a very specific topic, but one that had so much to write about that it would be a long, long time before I ran out of ideas.

Squid Etiquette is a lens I wrote around a year ago, but it is one that has firmly placed me at the forefront of “good behaviour” on Squidoo and so Achim (aka Chef Keem) suggested I make that my speciality on SquidTop. I kicked off the series with an introductory post: Thinking about Squidoo Etiquette and manners on the internet – or is that Netiquette? and since then I have covered Squidoo Angels (in two parts) and Tagfoot.

My next article is going to be without doubt the most difficult I have ever written. The topic probably seems straightforward enough: The SquidU Forum. But…..

I believe I am going to look at the topic in a way never done before on Squidoo. I have also had the help of some Lensmasters, who have all answered the same questions. They have paid me the compliment of being very honest and they have taken a leap of faith. They have trusted me with some very personal views. In fact in some cases they are so personal that they have asked to remain anonymous.

This could be interesting….

BTW for SEO AND usability reasons it’s a good idea to interlink a series like that, or at least when you refer to it elsewhere (like here) to link to all the posts already published. You don’t want to make it hard for us to find them all, do you?

This will be a good topic. Forums in general can be tricky but if you plan on being around a while you sure don’t want to “mess up”.
