Another lovely day in the UK
I wonder how long this glorious weather is going to last. The nights are much colder and you notice it as soon as the sun goes down and we do have the heating on just for awhile to take the chill off the place in the mornings. But the days have been fabulous.
Spam continues to flourish in the Forum, but there’s moves afoot to try and give the culprits a little nudge in the right direction. As with most negative things, there’s a positive and it sparked off some creativity. I was thinking what I could do to refresh Squid Etiquette and I expanded my thoughts on Spamming, added what I think is the ultimate sketch on Spam (if you are British you may just guess what it is) and also raised the issue of “trading rankings”. Then it was off to AllPosters to find something to break up the text. Yes, I know I am an affiliate but the main reason for using these posters is to add some colour to my lenses - honest Guv! And I think I found a great one. It needed a caption though to make any sense of why that poster is on that lens.
I also gave Janey Lee Grace a facelift, which I have been meaning to do all month. My first ever lens was languishing way at the bottom of my rankings and although it is definitely not my best lens, I do have a fondness for it and thinks it deserves a bit more TLC than I have been giving it lately. Well the facelift and just dropping a note about it at the Forum worked as when the lens ranking were updated today it had gone up just over 18,000 places so I dont have to feel so bad about it now.
I am absolutely thrilled that I now have 2 lenses in the Top 100 - Auditory Processing Disorder and Squid Etiquette, which is my most blessed ever lens - thank you Angels.
However, am also ever so very thrilled that I got my first Amazon royalties a couple of days ago, via the lens on APD. I don’t know who it was but it is very, very exciting.

Great post, and pleased to see the lenses are doing well. Squid Etiquette is wonderful.
It was a bit chilly here yesterday, the torrential rain yesterday evening caused the temperature to drop to the mid 70’s! It got a bit stuffy in the bedroom, since the air conditioning only cuts in when it needs to cool the place down. Sometimes when it’s cooler outside it feels warmer inside. Sounds rather inside out doesn’t it…
I need to catch up on the spamming on the forum, haven’t seen anything much, except the usual “you rank mine I’ll rank yours” posts, and the ever present newbies trying to promote the same old “make a mint” ideas. I don’t usually check SquidU over the weekend, so I have some catching up to do.
My friend Chef Keem should be back home today, it will be good to see him posting more regularly, and I for one am looking forward to some great new lenses from him.
