Yesterday was a strange one on the Forum
Is it me, or have there been slightly worrying undercurrents in some of the threads on the Forum over the last couple of days? You need to have been there to understand what I mean.
And, is it me (again) or is anyone else turned off by an intro that is all about getting us to visit lenses that are only there to link elsewhere? As I have said before, it’s great to earn some extra cents from our lenses but I have seen more than a few just lately that definitely are not what I personally think Squidoo is all about. I even saw a post today that did not even link to a lens, it was directing us straight off site.
I know that Squidoo is many different things to many different people but personally if I see a lensmaster’s name like “Heretomakeamillioninsevendays”, then I go no further. There’s so many good lenses that could help stop people making a bad first impression, but a lot of these people just seem to think they can ask for “tips” about how to make a great lens, when they actually need to do some homework by visiting other lenses. I am far more likely to take notice of someone who is genuinely saying hello and if they have made a lens, go and look at it than I am some of these other ones. Ah well….
It’s another lovely sunny day here in the UK, which makes the inability to do much due to the Otosclerosis even more frustrating. The Physio starts next month but I am told it could be well into next year before I recover. I must admit I felt quite low this morning, but I went and sat in the garden and listened to the birds for awhile. It’s amazing how much more I hear these days when I remember to wear my hearing aid!
